Declaración de Fe
Iglesia Evangélica Ebenezer declara su fe en las doctrinas de:
1) Las Escrituras:
Creemos que las Escrituras son inspiradas por Dios y de su autoridad suprema y final en todas los asuntos de la vida y fe. 2 Timoteo 3:15-17: 2 Pedro 1: 19-21; y Juan 5:39
2) Dios:
Creemos que hay un solo Dios que existe en tres personas iguales: El Padre, El Hijo, y el Espíritu Santo. Mateo 3:16-17; 28:19; Juan 15:26; y Efesios 2:18
3) Nacimiento Virginal:
Creemos que Dios el Hijo se encarnó en la persona de Jesucristo y que fue concebido por el Espíritu Santo, y nació de la Virgen María y que El es el verdadero Dios y verdadero Hombre. Mateo 1:18-20; Lucas 1:35; Juan 1:1-14; y 1 Timoteo 3:16.
4) Muerte Substituidora (Vicaria de Cristo):
Creemos que el Señor Jesucristo murió por nuestros pecados según las Escrituras, como sacrificio substituto; y que todos los que en el creen son justificados por medio de las sangre que El derramó. 1 Pedro 1:18-19, 2:24; Gálatas 3:13 y Hebreos 7:25.
5) Resurrección de Cristo:
Creemos en la resurrección del cuerpo crucificado de nuestro Señor, en su ascensión al cielo en su vida presente allá donde intercede por nosotros como pontífice, intercesor y abogado. Hechos 1:9-11; 1 Corintios 15: 3-6; Romanos 4:25; Hebreos 1:3, 7:25, 8:11; y 1 Juan 2:1-2.
6) Eventos Futuros:
Creemos en la venida personal, corporal, visible y pre-milenaria de nuestro Señor Jesucristo en la gloria de su Padre para establecer sobre la tierra un reino en el cual reinara con justicia y paz. Mateo 24: 42-44; Juan 14:3; Filipenses 3:20-21; Tito 2:11-13; 1 Tesalonicenses 4:16-17; y Hebreos 1:1-11.
7) Espíritu Santo:
Creemos en el Espíritu Santo que es una persona indistintamente poseedora de todos los atributos divinos. El es Dios. Convence al mundo de pecado, de justicia y de juicio. El regenera, sella, y separa al creyente a una vida santa. Al momento de la salvación, el bautiza al creyente en el cuerpo de Cristo, y viene habitar en el permanente. Juan 14: 16-17, 16:8; Hechos 1:8, 2:38, 5:32, 7:51, 8:29, 16:6; Romanos 8:9; 1 Corintios 6:19, 12:13; Efesios 1:13, 4:30; y 1 Tesalonicenses 5:19.
8) Naturaleza Pecaminosa:
Creemos que el hombre fue creado a la imagen de Dios. El hombre pecó y así incurrió no solamente en el castigo de la muerte física, sino también en el de aquella muerte espiritual que es separación de Dios, que todos los humanos nacen con una naturaleza pecaminosa, y en el caso de los que alcanzan la edad de responsabilidad moral, se hacen pecadores en pensamiento, palabra, y hecho. Génesis 1:26-27; 2:16-17, 3Z:16-19; Romanos 3:10-18, 23, 5:12, 6:23; Salmos 14:2-3.
9) Salvación:
Creemos que por la gracia de Dios, todo hombre mediante la fe, aparte de cualquier obra humana, confía en el Señor Jesucristo como Salvador, es nacido de lo alto, llegando a ser hijo de Dios, creado en Cristo Jesús para buenas obras. Juan 1:12-13, Efesios 2:8-10; Gálatas 2:16; Hechos 13:39.
10) Seguridad del Creyente:
Creemos que todas los redimidos son salvados eternamente por el poder de Dios mediante el renacimiento, la morada, y el sello del Espíritu Santo y la intercesión de Cristo por los suyos. En conclusión la salvación no se pierde. Juan 10:28-29; Romanos 8:35-39; Efesios 1:13-14; 1 Corintios 6:19; 1 Juan 2:1.
11) Vida Victoriosa:
Creemos que todos los renacidos poseen aun en esta vida la naturaleza caída de Adán, pero que Dios hizo provisión amplia por la cual sus hijos pueden ser más que vencedores mediante el Señor Jesucristo por el poder del Espíritu Santo que habita en cada uno de ellos. Romanos 7:15-25, 8:26,37; Judas 1:24.
12) Sanidad Divina:
Creemos que Dios sana las enfermedades físicas, en contestación a la oración de fe, con meritos o sin ellos, según su propósito y voluntad soberana, y que la oración no puede demandarse sobre la misma base incondicional de fe, tal como se demanda la salvación. El hecho de que Dios no sana en toda ocasión no indica necesariamente que haya incredulidad o pecado en la vida del creyente. Santiago 5:14-15; Juan 9:2-3; 2 Corintios 12:7; 2 Timoteo 4:20; 1 Timoteo 5:23.
13) La Iglesia y sus ordenanzas:
Creemos que la Iglesia en su forma invisible es universal, el verdadero cuerpo y la esposa de Cristo, y que son miembros de ella todas los que han nacido de nuevo por encima de cualquier afiliación denominaciónal. Creemos que Cristo ordenó la celebración del bautismo con agua y la cena del Señor hasta su regreso. Juan 1:12, 4:24; Efesios 5:23-32; 1 Corintios 12: 12-27, 11:23-26; Mateo 28: 18-20.
14) Eternidad de la Humanidad:
Creemos en la resurrección corporal de los justos e injustos, en la felicidad eterna de los justos y la condenación eterna de los injustos. Salmos 73:23-26; Mateo 25:21-23; Juan 5:28-29; 2 Corintios 5:8; Filipenses 1:21-23; 1 Tesalonicenses 4:16; 2 Tesalonicenses 1:6-10; Apocalipsis 7:15-17, 20:11-15.
15) Dones del Espíritu Santo
Nuestra iglesia cree en la repartición y manifestación de los dones del Espíritu Santo conforme a las Sagradas Escrituras. Romanos 12:3-8; 1 Corintios 12:7-13; 12:27-31; Efesios 4:11-13; 1 Pedro 4:10
Creed of Faith
Ebenezer Evangelical Church creed of faith is based in the Holy Scriptures:
1) Scriptures:
We believe that the scriptures are inspired by God. God has the ultimate authority; the final say in matters of life and faith. 2 Timothy 3:15-17; 2 Peter 1: 19-21; John 5:39.
2) God:
We believe in the Holy Trinity. One God manifested in three equal ways: The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Mathew 3:16-17, 28:19; John 15:26; Ephesians 2:18.
3) Virginal Birth:
We believe that God the son manifested itself as Jesus Christ and was conceived by the Holy Spirit, and was born to a Virgin Mary. He is the true God and perfect man. Mathew 1:18-20; Lucas 1:35; John 1:1-14; 1 Timothy 3:16.
4) Vicarious, or Substitutionary Death of Christ:
We believe that Jesus Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures and that all who believe in Him are saved by his blood. 1 Peter 1:18-19; 2:24; Galatians 3:13; Hebrews 7:25.
5) Resurrection of Christ:
We believe in the resurrection of God the son, his ascension to the heavens, and his second coming. Acts 1:9-11; 1 Corinthians 15:3-6; Romans 4:25; Hebrews 1:3, 7:25. 8:11; 1 John 2:1-2.
6) Future Events:
We believe in the second coming of Jesus Christ in a personal, corporal, visible, and pre-tribulation way; for his Church. Mathews 24: 42-44; John 14:3; Philippians 3:20-21; Titus 2:11-13; 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17; Hebrews 1:1-11.
7) Holy Spirit:
We believe in the Holy Spirit as part of the Holy Trinity. He is God. The role of the Holy Spirit is to convince the world of its sin. The Holy Spirit rejuvenates, seals, separates, and guides the believer. The moment we accept Christ as our Savior, the Holy Spirit lives in us. John 14: 16-17, 16:8; Acts 1:8, 2:38, 5:32, 7:51, 8:29, 16:6; Romans 8:9; 1 Corinthians 6:19, 12:13; Ephesians 1:13, 4:30; 1 Thessalonians 5:19.
8) Sinful Nature:
We believe that man is created in the image of God. When man sinned in the Garden of Eden, it created a spiritual separation from its Creator. Since then, all men are born with a sinful nature. When they reach the age of moral responsibility, they become sinner in thoughts, words, and actions. Genesis 1:26-27, 2:16-17, 3:16-19; Romans 3:10-18, 23, 5:12, 6:23; Psalms 14:2-3.
9) Salvation:
We believe in the Grace of God. We are saved by Faith not by deeds. Anyone that accepts Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord receives salvation as an eternal gift; thus becoming sons of God and removing our original sin. John 1:12-13; Ephesians 2:8-10; Galatians 2:16; Acts 13:39.
10) Assurance of Eternal Security:
We believe that all of those who are redeemed acquire eternal salvation and are sealed by the Holy Spirit. Salvation is a gift therefore it cannot be lost. John 10:28-29; Romans 8:35-39; Ephesians 1:13-14; 1 Corinthians 6:19; 1 John 2:1.
11) Victorious in Christ:
We believe that all humanity possesses the original sin, but in God's grace and love we are more than conquerors through him. Romans 7:15-25, 8:26-37; and Jude 1:24.
12) Divine Healing:
We believe in the power of God to heal all physical, mental, and spiritual sickness through faith-lead prayer. God is sovereign to heal or not heal one's sickness. If God decides not to heal, it does not indicate incredibility or sin in the life of the believer. James 5:14-15; John 9:2-3; 2 Corinthians 12:7; 2 Timothy 4:20; and 1 Timothy 5:23.
13) Church:
We believe that the Church of God is composed of individuals from different nations, ethnicities, and languages. The church is the bride of God, and He will come for her in His second coming. Members of this Universal Church are those individuals that have accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. We believe in the baptism by water and celebration of the communion until his second coming. John 1:12, 4:24; Ephesians 5:23-32; 1 Corinthians 12: 12-27, 11:23-26; and Mathew 28: 18-20.
14) Eternity:
We believe in the physical resurrection of both believers and non-believers and in the eternal salvation for the believers and condemnation for the non-believers. Psalms 73:23-26; Mathew 25:21-23; John 5:28-29; 2 Corinthians 5:8; Philippians 1:21-23; 1 Thessalonians 4:16; 2 Thessalonians 1:6-10; and Revelations 7:15-17, 20:11-15.
15) Gift of the Holy Spirit
Our Church believes that the gift of the Holy Spirit are assigned and manifested according to the Bible. Romans 12:3-8; 1 Corinthians12:7-13; 12:27-31; Ephesians 4:11-13; 1 Peter 4:10
